Our Drilling Process
It is important to understand the procedures involved in drilling a borehole and be aware of the possible consequences thereof.
Water Diviner or Geologist
Needs to determine whether water is available and where the best site is to drill for water. Both of these methods have a similar success rate. Please note this is a seperate cost to the drilling.
Site Inspection
Upon acceptance of the quotation we will conduct a site inspection to make sure that the two big trucks have access to the drilling site and everything is order for the process to take place.
Quotation Acceptance
Our quote includes all the costs involved for drilling the borehole, for example the formation stabilizer, borehole development, sanitary seals etc. Please note that no work will commence without a deposit being paid.
Drilling the Borehole
Once drilling commences it is a very loud and messy job and although we do take every care to keep the mess to a minimum we are not responsible for rubble removal or any damages to property.
Yield Test
On completion of drilling a successful borehole, a yield test needs to be carried out in order to determine how much water is available in the borehole. Our sister company can assist with this to help determine the size of the pump & tank etc required,
Pump & Tank Installation
Once the yield of the borehole has been determined a quotation for pumps, tanks and installation thereof can then be made. This can also be done by our sister company, if you choose. Depending on what you intend to use the water for you may require additional items such as a pressure tank. All of this however is impossible to determine costs for until the yield test has been carried out, the amount of piping and electrical cabling needed and what you intend to use the water for is established.
